An evening of beers, cheese and chocolate with Melissa Cole
Award-winning writer and leading expert on the world’s favourite frothy tipple, beer connoisseur Melissa Cole joins us down at the Manchester Union Brewery this April to celebrate the exquisite pairing of cheese, chocolate and, of course, beer!
Author of Let Me Tell You About Beer, The Ultimate Book of Craft Beer and The Little Book of Lager - now available to pre-order and obtainable on the evening of the event - Cole has landed what is arguably the best job in the world.
When she’s not putting her musings on beer down on paper she’s out travelling around the world, linking up with Michelin-star chefs, conjuring up new and exciting experiences combining five-star fine-dining dishes and beer. She’s also something of a master brewer herself, having successfully collaborated and released several refreshments with a number of renowned breweries, and a trusted member of judging panels having officiated beer competitions in London, Amsterdam and Brussels.
Proclaimed as one of the most powerful women in the drinks industry by Channel 4 Food, Melissa has duly earned her lofty reputation, praised for her passion to educate others on brewed beverages in a fun and non-pretentious manner, and for her exceptionally trained sense of taste. An all-around ambassador of the heady good stuff, you could say.
The certified cicerone - or accredited beer professional in layman's terms - will grace our humble Ardwick-based brewery and all those present, on Friday 15th April, with her lauded expertise, sharing her vast and impressive knowledge on the aforementioned sacred trio of delights.
During this informal yet informative occasion, our guests will get the opportunity to sample six of the best craft beers currently on the market as chosen by Melissa herself. These complex, tastebud titillating beverages will be paired up with a selection of fine cheeses and creamy, melt in your mouth chocolate, also hand-picked especially by Melissa. Need we say more?
Limited tickets for this very special event are priced at just £25 per person and can be purchased - HERE. The ticket price includes a welcome drink, four beers paired with cheese and one beer paired with chocolate.
